President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono are scheduled to attend the second of the semifinal matches between Indonesia and the Philippines on Sunday.
“God willing, the President is going to watch the match since the players themselves have invited the President to attend the game,” State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Andi Mallarangeng said Friday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
“I can confirm that the President will attend the match. That’s good as it will boost the morale of the national team,” Andi said.
Host Indonesia edged out the visiting Philippines team 1-0 in the first semifinal leg on Thursday.
