Mount Merapi last erupted Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 17:02 West Indonesia Time.

As informed by the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation, Merapi eruption phase since Tuesday afternoon.

The following chronology of the eruption of Mount Merapi, which occurred Tuesday afternoon until late evening.

  1. At 17:02 started happening hot clouds for 9 minutes
  2. At 17:18 there for 4 minutes hot clouds
  3. At 17:23 there for 5 minutes hot clouds
  4. 17.30 hot clouds occur for 2 minutes
  5. At 17:37 there hot clouds for 2 minutes
  6. At 17:42 there huge hot cloud for 33 minutes
  7. At 18:00 until 18:45 there was a roar from Merapi Observation Post in the whole observatories and Selo
  8. At 18:10, 18:15 o'clock, 18:25 o'clock boom sound terdengan
  9. At 18:16 there for 5 minutes hot clouds
  10. At 18:21 there huge hot cloud for 33 minutes
  11. From the observation post of Mount Merapi Selo visible flame with a column of smoke rose into the top at 1.5 km from the summit of Mount Merapi
  12. At 18:54 pyroclastic activity began to subside
  13. Hot clouds glide sector leading to the West-Southwest and South-East sector

The status of Mount Merapi increased from Normal became an Alert on September 20, 2010. On October 21, 2010 the status of Merapi to be alert, and then Watch out, starting from October 25, 2010.
