JAKARTA- Confirmation hearings of Syawal 1433 Hijri determination of 1 in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Jakarta, Saturday (18/08/2012) decided that Eid al-Fitr 1433 H falls on a Sunday (19/08/2012).

"Beginning 1 Syawal 1433 to coincide with Eid al-Fitr will be held simultaneously on Sunday, August 19, 2012," said Minister of Religious Affairs Suryadharma Ali the confirmation hearing at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Jakarta, Saturday.

Suryadharma said, the determination of Syawal 1433 H 1 is based on the method of Hisab and Rukyat. He explained the position of the new moon or new moon at the Pelabuhan Ratu has been in the position above 6 degrees. It reinforces that the Eid will start early tomorrow.

Suryadharma said, Muslims would discharge the Eid prayer together on Sunday tomorrow.

"Tomorrow, Muslims are able to perform Eid prayer. Meanwhile, Saturday night, people are able to carry a Takbir to welcome Eid," he added.

Event confirmation hearing earlier determination of Syawal 1 to coincide with Eid al-Fitr 1433 H at the Ministry of Religious Affairs was attended by representatives of Islamic organizations, and representatives echelon officials of friendly countries.

There is the same in the determination of Eid al-Fitr 1433 AH is not showing certain criteria determining the new moon is more correct than the other criteria. Unity is purely due to the natural position of the Moon. Conjunction Moon occurs at night so the possibility to observe the new moon at sunset the next day is very high.
